In the aftermath of the "Othello Falling" production for Shakespeare Online Against Abuse, we talked to the spoken-word play's Desdemona, Jaeda DeWalt, about creating an additional photo/art portrait to include in the benefit sales phase of the project. Jaeda, with incomparable heart and enthusiasm, went far beyond that. She created a powerful series of artworks -- enough, literally, to fill a book. In addition, artist and book designer David Cuccia volunteered to format Jaeda's vision into a prestige volume. Once again delving deep into the human soul, Jaeda's "Chasing Desdemona" is a testament to both creativity and generosity, as she insisted (though she works hard to scrape by making her living through her art) on donating 20% of all sales from the book to a shelter for abused women and children.
